WHY we’re doing this
Preparedness through community engagement was one of the strategic actions your community wanted to implement in an effort to improve local resilience.
WHAT we hope you gain!- Familiarization with tools, including those hosted by Digital Coast and AdaptVA, that will help you visually explore your risk to coastal flooding;
- Awareness of available solutions to the flooding you experience; and
- Awareness of funding assistance and support in funding plan development.
WHO is eligibleResidents of, and practitioners in, King and Queen, King William, and West Point. This orientation is fit for you if you experience flooding and/or would like to learn more about related resources.
HOW we value your time: Compensation
Participating residents are eligible to receive $100 in compensation, provided they are in attendance for the duration of the workshop and submit a W9. Note practitioners, including local government officials/staff, are unable to receive compensation but are eligible for workshop certificates upon completion.
