PETA Mobile Spay/Neuter Clinic At RAS
The PETA Mobile Spay & Neuter Clinic is Coming to the Regional Animal Shelter!
We’re excited to announce that the PETA Mobile Spay & Neuter Clinic will be visiting the Regional Animal Shelter to provide low-cost spay and neuter services for cats and dogs in our community. This is a great opportunity for pet owners to help reduce pet overpopulation and ensure their furry friends live healthier lives.
When?
The PETA Mobile Spay & Neuter Clinic will be at the Regional Animal Shelter on the following dates:
- Tuesday, April 21st, 2026
How to Apply
To take advantage of this service, pet owners must complete the application form below and receive confirmation in order to participate. Applications can be submitted online or in person at the shelter.

Eligibility Requirements
- Open to residents of any county in Virginia, however owners are responsible for all transportation.
- Pets must be between 4 months to 5 years old, between 4lbs-70lbs, and in good health.
- Proof of residency may be required.
- Some breed or weight restrictions may apply.
Cost & Services
- Spay/neuter procedures are available at a low-cost rate (between $40- $110). See pricing sheet here
- Additional low-cost services such as vaccinations and microchipping may be available at an extra charge.
- Payment is required at the time of scheduling. More details on payment and addition forms will be provided once your application has been approved.
Waitlist & Scheduling
Appointments are limited and fill up quickly. If all slots are full, you may be placed on a waitlist and contacted if an opening becomes available.
What to Expect on Surgery Day
- Be sure to follow any pre-op instructions specific to your pets procedure. These will be provided to you before surgery day.
- Arrive at the shelter at your scheduled drop-off time.
- All pets must be in a secure carrier or on a leash.
- Pick-up at the shelter at your scheduled pick-up time.
- Follow post-surgery care instructions carefully for your pet’s recovery.
