King William County VA250 planning committee
The Virginia America 250 Commission (VA250) was created in 2020 by the General Assembly to prepare for and commemorate the 250th anniversary of Virginia’s participation in American independence. Local committees will aid in planning and coordinating programs occurring within the locality for the commemoration period of 2022-2026 with support from the Board of Supervisors.
The King William County VA250 Planning Committee will include representatives from tourism, education, economic development, museums and historic sites, local historical and cultural groups, universities and colleges, Tribal representatives, and government representatives. All interested citizens are encouraged to apply using the standard Community Service Application.
